Christantus Uche Ignites Straightforward Crystal Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
